Shoreditch restaurant Brat celebrated St David's day this weekend gone with a popup selling its famous Basque cheesecake in London. For two days only, Brat opened its doors for pre-order and collection only, with proceeds all going to The Wickers Charity, supporting young people and families in East London.
The cheesecake itself was inspired by those found in San Sebastian, made with sheep's curd from the foothills of Snowdonia and flour from Felin Ganol in West Wales before being baked in a wood fired oven.
The Michelin starred London restaurant has, like the rest of the hospitality industry, closed its doors for much of the pandemic so this was a welcome reopening for both the team and fans of the venue renowned for its Basque cuisine. Find out more about Brat over on its website.
