Christmas is just around the corner, and even if you're trying to avoid it until December it's hard to steer clear of all the festive advertising, even when it comes to food and drink. We're put together a brief round-up of some of the Christmas-related items or advertising out there that have caught our eye.
Christmas Cups
High street coffee shop chains Costa and Starbucks are well known for changing their cups for the festive season. This November was no different as Costa brought back its Christmas cups, and we saw the Starbucks cups turn red. There's also a new festive menu to boot at both - with new sweet treats and hot beverages to suit the season.
TV Adverts
The highly anticipated battle of the major retailers has well and truly kicked off, with supermarkets and retailers putting their Christmas ads on air. Arguably the most awaited ad, from John Lewis, set the stall but other popular short stories from M&S, Sainsbury's, Aldi and many more have proven popular.
Christmas Lunch Menus
Many of the grab 'n' go convenience shops have introduced their festive options for the season. Pret A Manger has launched it's habitual turkey option, but the Veggie Pret stores also have their sandwich - roasted butternut squash, Christmas nut pesto, crispy onions, rocket, yoghurt & mayo dressing and seasoning.
Marks & Spencer has released a new vegan chestnut roast wrap, Starbucks host a turkey feast panini, Sainsbury's has a Christmas dinner in brioche roll, Tesco has a turkey and trimmings triple sandwich and there's many more.
The Independent has reviewed all of the lunchtime festive options and ranked each. See their review here.
Coca-Cola Christmas Truck
Although we haven't actually seen the infamous Coca-Cola Christmas Truck hit our TV screens as yet, the brand has announced the icon's tour dates as it sets off around the UK. Kicking off on November 11th in Glasgow, the truck takes in 42 stops finishing up at Lakeside in Essex on 17th December.
