The American food giant Heinz recently introduced a new plant-based range of sauces, called Heinz Made For Veggiez, targeted at driving a category growth by attracting new consumers to sauces who currently don't have an option for their food preferences. Designed to accompany plant-based meals, each sauce takes inspiration from a different world cuisine.
The new range consists of five gluten free, vegan sauces: Tomato & Smoked Paprika, Chilli & Miso, Preserved Lemon & Agave, Coconut & Chilli and Balsamic & Rosemary. Each is available in 250ml recyclable glass bottles at UK supermarkets nationwide.
Alexandra Bayet, head of New Ventures at Kraft Heinz, said: "We are constantly looking for ways that we can update our product portfolio to keep up with the needs of our loyal consumers. Our ambition with Heinz Made for Veggiez is to create a new category within sauces, condiments and dressings that can drive a category growth by attracting new consumers to sauces who currently don't have an option for their food preferences. Vegetarian meals are surpassing total meal occasions growth at home at 24.1% compared with 12.4%. So, there has never been a better time to introduce Heinz Made for Veggiez to the market."
