Heinz Rides TikTok Trends With New Pickle Ketchup

Global food processing company HEINZ has introduced a new Pickle Ketchup condiment which sits in line with a booming demand for pickles led by Gen Z and online social media trends for all things pickles.

The new sauce has launched nationwide in the US as well as here in the UK, in squeezy 460g bottles. The Pickle Ketchup combines the tangy and savoury flavour of pickles with the unmistakable taste of HEINZ Ketchup. Pickle Ketchup is the latest HEINZ innovation designed to deliver on fans' hunger for unique, elevated, and nuanced flavour experiences.

The HEINZ website product page says of the new sauce: Our classic Tomato Ketchup with a delicious twist. We've added a pickle flavour to give it a sweet tanginess that will take your burger to the next level. But don't just save it for the burgers! It's just as tasty with sausages and toasties and transforms crusty bread and cheese into a pickly ploughman's.

"Increased desire for tasty, yet unexpected condiments has served as our innovation north star for the last several years," says Katie Peterson, Director of HEINZ Innovation at The Kraft Heinz Company. "The current pickle craze in America mirrors the irrational love HEINZ fans have for the brand, so it only made sense for our newest ketchup to blend these two beloved tastes together."

To highlight just how popular the pickle trend is of late, a search for those two words on TikTok reveal over 27.1 million video views alone.
