The internationally acclaimed, and formerly world's best ranked restaurant, Mirazur is swapping its native home of France for Sydney for a three week residency this March - Mirazur Beyond Borders. The highly anticipated pop-up is set to serve up a tasting menu that heroes Australian ingredients at its core.
The three Michelin-starred eatery which is situated in a rustic 1930's villa on the French Riviera is led by Argentinian-born chef and owner Mauro Colagreco whose cooking draws on inspiration from his Italian grandparents. Colagreco and his team will switch the seaside views of the Mediterranean this March, from 10th to 31st, for those of the Sydney Harbour at Pier One.
"Mirazur Beyond Borders is the opportunity for us to enrich our knowledge, philosophy, and commitment," explains Colagreco. "I have visited Australia a few times and what excites me is that it is a country where there is a huge diversity of nature, landscapes, and species.
"It's very important for me and my team to learn from and experiment with the ingredients we find in the country we visit, and to learn from all the people and products we encounter on the way. Although we are coming to Australia for a few weeks, I already know we will leave with something that lasts forever."
