Quick, convenient, customisable, cost effective and FUN(!) – it's easy to see why Charcuterie Nachos are a seemingly perfect choice for summer evenings , whether it's a movie night-in for one or a party platter for friends. Combining the pick n' mix feel of a charcuterie board with the pure comfort of a pile of nachos or crisps, this Italy-meets-Mexico mash up can be served in all manned of creative, tasty and sometimes downright tongue-in-cheek ways.
The classic combos use a tried-and-tested formular of salty nachos or potato crisps – loaded up with the likes of prosciutto, brie, chutney, pickles or hot honey. Some cooks take things a step further, and level up their charcuterie nachos with a theme – for instance Caesar salad nachos, topped with shredded chicken, parmesan and dressing; or Indian chaat nachos topped with spiced chickpeas, coriander chutney, yogurt and pomegranate. And if you're feeling just a little fancy? Why not play with toppings like aged cheese, shaved truffles or even caviar. You only live once, eh!
