In a move modelled on the Japanese 'konbini' concept, retailers are betting big on the "economy of laziness" to bring convenient, cost-effective groceries to within a few minutes' walk of city dwellers. For the truly time-strapped, groceries can be ordered by app for collection at the store via QR code, cutting out time-consuming human interaction entirely.
  3. Functional Health, Made Easy: As any adept multi-tasker knows, the best way to save time is to tick multiple boxes in one swift action. Which is why the contemporary time-poor consumer demands a choice of products that cater to more than just simple sustenance. Products that offer an added benefit – be that energy boosting, immunity supporting, cognition enhancing, even beauty bolstering – via fortifying ingredients, are launching to market in increasing numbers.
