Japan comes up with some interesting food ideas, some rather debatable, but also some exquisite conversation starters too. News from the east now is that an ice cream shop called Hakuichi, in Kanazawa, has started selling gold leaf wrapped ice cream.
The Metro recently reported this new trend coming from the Asian powerhouse that is putting a bit of bling into your summer sweet treat, and pictures have already started to flood Instagram!
Don't expect it to be the price of your usual 99 - the Hakuichi version comes in at 1000 yen, around £6. How long until we see them on the streets of London?! If you spot one, tweet us a picture @thefoodpeople.
