Date for your diaries - Tuesday 16th August, National Rum Day! Celebrate all things rum, with cocktails and much more with this Caribbean favourite.
Why not celebrate National Rum Day with one of these well-crafted beverages:
Black Pearl
- 50ml Havana 3yr Rum
- 20ml Kings Ginger Liqueur
- 15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 15ml Monin Orgeat Syrup
- 4 Fresh Blackberries
- 2 Dash Peychaud Bitters
- 2 Dash Angostura Bitters
- 3 blackberries on curly bamboo skewer clipped to side, mint, icing sugar
- Muddle blackberries in base of tall cocktail glass
- Build remaining ingredients, add crushed ice and swizzle
- Top more crushed ice then with bitters. Garnish and serve
Banoffee and Cashew Crème
- 40ml Koko Kanu Coconut Rum
- 20ml Briottet Crème de Banane
- 25ml Double Cream
- 25ml Coconut Water
- 15ml Monin Caramel Syrup
- 2 Unsalted Cashews (muddled) & 4 marshmallows on heart bamboo with one dried banana chip and banana leaves
- Trim banana leaf with ridged scissors to shape and size, place marshmallows onto skewer. Clip bamboo to rim of glass to secure leaves- place banana chip in centre
- Add cashews to Boston mixing tin and muddle
- Add remaining ingredients and cubed ice, shake and double strain into chilled Speak Easy
