Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama Patisserie Pop-Up Launches At Harrods

Louis Vuitton has launched a new pop-up space at London's popular department store Harrods in collaboration with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. The new in--store activation carries on the polka-dot immersive artworks seen at the Tate in London last year, with a patisserie counter selling sweet treats decorated with the signature dots.

It's not just inside where Harrods has been given the polka dot treatment, with Kusama's eye-catching designs adorning the outer wall and window displays of the store. The Harrods collaboration runs until 13th February.

Visitors will be able to buy delicious looking chocolate choux buns, polka dot macarons and craquelin-coated éclairs filled with yuzu cream.

Continuing a long legacy of patronship for the arts, Louis Vuitton writes the second chapter in its partnership with revolutionary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama – 10 years after they first joined forces.

In late 2022, we published a foodwatching report on the tfp trendhub covering High End Pastry, looking at new openings, pastry chefs, dessert-dining and more. One which aligns perfectly with the new Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama Harrods pop-up.

Forget fine dining, fine pastry is where it's at these days. Were talking super premium, high-fashion patisserie curated by rockstars of the pastry world.

Thanks to exposure through programmes such as Bake Off: The Professionals, Netflix's Chef's Table, and School of Chocolate, foodies around the globe have become immersed in the world of sugar-fuelled artistry. And, not forgetting, some frankly mind-blowing reels from the more socially active pastry chefs.
