Two fan favourite chocolate confectionary brands have introduced new flavours to popular snacks, with M&M's new PBJ flavour and KitKat's new vanilla option.
M&M'S, part of the Mars family, has announced its latest twist on a classic favourite - M&M'S Peanut Butter & Jelly, the brand's first new flavour innovation since 2022. The addition features berry flavoured bite-sized chocolates with a smooth peanut butter centre that invokes the taste of a classic PB&J sandwich.
"Peanut butter M&M'S have always been a popular flavour with our fans, so we're excited to double down on their excitement - with a twist," explained Gabrielle Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer, Mars Wrigley North America. "Our new M&M'S Peanut Butter & Jelly taps into a cross-generational staple, turning a delicious and comforting snack into a bite-sized treat to be enjoyed and shared."
Elsewhere, Nestlé-owned brand KitKat has expanded its portfolio with a new permanent vanilla flavour. The new addition to the brand's product lineup – KIT KAT Vanilla – sees the brand's infamous crisp wafers enrobed in vanilla flavoured crème.
"As the brand known for giving fans a break, we're thrilled to deliver another exciting addition to the KIT KAT® lineup with the release of KIT KAT Vanilla for fans hungry for new flavours," said Lindsay Morrow, Senior Associate Brand Manager, KIT KAT. "With the KIT KAT® Vanilla break giveaway, fans get the best of both worlds – the vanilla flavour they love in a familiar treat and a moment of relaxation amidst the chaos that the fall season can bring."
