Each month we track the most exciting new openings across the food and beverage industry, around the world. Check out the best new spots we've covered in September including Los Angeles, Singapore, Sydney, London, Folkstone and more.

Loquat Coffee, Los Angeles
Highland Park's popular Kumquat Coffee has opened a sister location in Cypress Park but this one goes by the name of Loquat Coffee and comes with a different menu. Much like Kumquat Coffee, South Korean's coffee culture is emphasised but this time it leans into speciality items and only uses beans that are roasted in house. These are four choices for espresso including a Samboni Gesha blend that's put through a 72-hour anaerobic, fermented and oxygenated process. The remaining menu consists of pour overs, Americanos, flat whites and cold brews as well as an espresso with a mascarpone foam and cold milk, and housemade masala chai.

Dishes include Leeks vinaigrette with roasted hazelnuts and Boudin blanc of sweetbreads Pierre Koffmann. As for the interiors, he has taken inspiration from the Art Deco scene with the bar finished in green tiles and marble-topped tables sitting alongside an open kitchen.

Le Rock, New York
The Rockefeller Centre has certainly seen some big named restaurants pass through its space over the years and the latest is no exception. Le Rock is the brainchild of Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr (veterens of Balthazar and owners of Frenchette) and is their interpretation of a French brasserie. The huge space, which includes a terrace, features terrazzo floors, forest-green leather banquettes and art deco features. The duo explain that the menu is more simple than Frenchette with classic items like leek vinaigrette and steak au poivre alongside a giant baba au rhum which is carved tableside.

Curly Lewis, Sydney
Bondi has welcomed its first brewery bar that draws inspiration from its beachside location. Curly Lewis is a joint collaboration between five beer loving friends who have created a space that feels less like a working warehouse but more of a sophisticated drinking experience. The beer, which is made on-site, includes easy-drinkers like Clean Cut Lager and Bondi Hazy Ale. However, there are some more unusual ones too that rotate with the current including a yuzu lager and a sour gose beer brewed using seawater. For those who don't drink beer there are plenty of choices too, from spirits to cocktails to classic wines.
