Beit Siti, Melbourne
From food truck owner Falastini, who has held pop-ups and classes, Beit Siti's bricks and mortar site has come about thanks to an inheritance. Serving recipes from her grandmother and sharing her culture, Rahaf Al Khatib, said that Beit Siti translates as 'grandmother's home'.
The homely new eatery will offer Al Khatib the freedom to be flexible with her cooking skills and to be able to host events. She will offer eat-in and takeout food, plus pantry stocking house-made condiments, spice mixes and other products.

The Bamboo Bar at Duke's Counter, Washington
A tiny pint-sized gastropub, The Bamboo Bar is paying homage to its new neighbours in the Smithsonian National Zoo, pandas Bao Li and Qing Bao. It has plenty of nods to the pandas with themed cocktails, food and giant stuffed pandas around the room.
Cocktails include a Bamboo Mule with ginger chilli syrup, Bao-zy hot chocolate spiked bourbon and Panda Colada, with rum, coconut and lime.

Mister Donut, Hong Kong
Making its much-anticipated debut in the Art Mall in Hong Kong, with more stores to follow, Mister Donut has announced new stores in Kwun Tong and Sha Tin.
Customers flock to the franchise for its signature Pon de Ring - a mocha donut that is said to be chewy. The chain also offers French Crullers and Old-Fashioned doughnuts. They come in their own variety of flavours with classics including honey, chocolate and custard cream, along with other seasonal flavours.

Ballers, Brisbane
Ballers is an interactive clubhouse with ball pit karaoke and classic bar games, that are upgraded with technology. It's a playground for grown-ups, serving cocktails created by mixologists, with intriguing concoctions that all have elements of theatre and gameplay. Food will include hand-held eats like tacos, arancini and sliders.

Moss, Edinburgh
Moss is a neighbourhood, farm to table restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh. The restaurant is linked to Chef Director Henry Dobson's family's organic farm in Angus. All the food ingredients are from Scotland and drinks are from the British Isles.
Dishes include 100% Scottish-sourced bone marrow focaccia, beef garum and mugolio butter; beetroot, whey fudge, with crystal bread; roe deer, sheep cheese Parmentier with damsons and memory foam chiffon, Szechwan cream, plum gum and Armand's Pine.

Bloodsports & Hideout Coffee, London
Bloodsports is a new sports bar from the MEATliquor founder Scott Collins. Dubbed as a combination of a sports and dive bar, it offers multiple screens playing different sports all day and night. Once sports are over, late-night horror movies will take over the screens. Drinks will be a mix of slushies and highballs, with MEATliquor dishes like the Dead Hippie Burger and Monkey Fingers.
Hideout Coffee, also from Collins, has moved up from Portsmouth. The standalone coffee and doughnut space will offer a range of different doughnuts such as Pistachio White Choc, Millionaires with Dulce De Leche and a Vegan Homer with Strawberry Jam.
