From Monday 1st December, Basement Sate, a new cocktail and dessert bar in Soho, is launching a delicious winter menu and series of master-classes and tasting evenings that beautifully pair sugar and spice, and everything nice.
COCKTAIL MASTERCLASSES REVIVE FORGOTTEN CLASSICS
Guests will have the chance to learn cocktail making directly from the staff at Basement Sate’s Monday Master classes. In the two hour class guests will learn about the cocktail’s rich history and recreate some classics, adding the Basement Sate touch. In the first part of the class, familiar and well-loved cocktails will be brought up to date by using the finest rare and boutique spirits. Then delve into the past and rediscover forgotten classics such as the Van Zandt from 1933 or the Scofflaw from Harry Craddock. The classes, which are perfect for groups of around 10 people, are priced from £30 per person, and will include two cocktails each. A special menu also on offer every Monday includes a selection of forgotten classics revived with modern spirits, such as the Rolls Royce from Craddock’s 1930 cocktail book boosted with the Californian Overproof Junipero Gin.
COCKTAIL AND DESSERT PAIRING
