Vegan restaurants, vegan markets, vegan Ben & Jerry's ... the trend continues to gain speed and one of the UK's main fast food chains is the next to jump on the bandwagon as Pizza Hut launches its new vegan cheese.
From this October the chain will be trialling Vegan food company Violife's product on their pizzas for eight weeks. As well as the time limitation, the trial will see the new pizza debuting at just five branches, in Canterbury, Chatham, Thanet, Bluewater and Crawley.
It's not the first time that we've seen one of the main pizza chains offering a vegan alternative on their plates, with Zizzi, Pizza Express, Ask Italian and MOD Pizza all offering customers vegan mozzarella alternatives on their pizzas already.
