There's plenty of new coming from the ambient product category and the pantry aisle of late. We recap two highlights that caught our eye in the past week, from Knorr and Nestlé's Carnation brand.
First up, German food and beverage brand Knorr, part of the Unilever family, has launched its first-ever wine-flavoured stock pots in two flavours - Full Bodied Red Wine and White Wine. Each pot is said to contain the equivalent of half a glass of wine, making for a convenient, ready to use serving in one handy stock pot without needing to dip into the wine supply at home.
Georgina Bradford, marketing director Nutrition, Unilever UK&I, said: "Knorr's new Red and White Wine Stock Pots are a game-changer for home cooks who want to add rich wine flavours to their dishes without having to buy or open a bottle. As the UK's number one stock brand in the market, Knorr is renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation, and this launch is no exception."
Elsewhere on the shelves, Nestlé's Carnation brand has launched its first ever flavour innovation with the new Carnation Kickin' Jalapeño Flavored Evaporated Milk in the US. The new product is available for a limited time only and has been introduced specifically to help spice up your mac and cheese dishes, launching just in time for National Mac and Cheese Day on 14th July.
"At Carnation, we've always known that the secret to making grandma's mac and cheese so rich and creamy is none other than our Carnation Evaporated Milk," explained Meghan Bhatia, senior manager of brand marketing at Carnation.
