Award-winning British chef and restaurateur Simon Rogan, one of the pioneers of the farm-to-fork movement in the UK, has joined forces with Cumbria's Fell Brewery on a limited-edition range of beers.
Well-known for his three Michelin-starred restaurant L'Enclume, alongside his other highly rated establishments, Simon Rogan's Our Farm brand was created to strengthen the link between the group's food, its development and the environment. Year-round growing methods allow the team the flexibility and productivity needed to ensure that its restaurants continue to evolve with every season, whilst maintaining control over the ingredients used.
Our Farm is now finding other uses for its product thanks to this new collaboration with local establishment Fell Brewery to produce the second in a series of four beers, the latest being Courgette and Mint Gose. This low ABV beer uses produce sourced from Rogan's farm including fermented courgette juice and a measured amount of pineapple mint too for added flavour.
The product page describes the beer as, A refreshing palate cleanser making use of a simple malt base to support juiced courgettes, as well as fermented courgette juice, spritzed up with a salt addition and a restrained amount of pineapple mint which helps the beer finish lightly and infers a lingering freshness.
