Sydney's Woodcut Restaurant has taken the accolade of Best Hotel in Australia & Pacific at the recent Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, a well-deserved reward for chef Ross Lusted who will be speaking at our Trend Summit.
The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is the world's leading, now exclusively online, independent competition dedicated to excellence in hospitality design. The overall winners of this year's awards are Spain's Leña which wins the Restaurant award while More 7 Bar in China takes the Overall Bar accolade.
Lusted's Woodcut Restaurant provides diners with a unique experience that celebrates Australian produce and cooking with wood, charcoal and steam. Lusted joins this November's Food & Beverage Trend Summit to discuss and explore his approach to the elemental cooking of food over open fire with wood and charcoal, a technique we've seen continue to gain momentum over the past 12 months.

The accolade for Woodcut comes at a time when lockdown restrictions are lifting further round the coast in Melbourne with restaurants reopening. Since early August, residents in Australia's second-largest city have been in lockdown - their sixth during the pandemic - to quell an outbreak fuelled by the highly infectious Delta strain.
